I know this will come as a shock but after seeking the Lord in prayer, we believe He is calling us to move on from Christ Church. It is with sadness that we have had to make this difficult decision, however, we are very thankful for all that Jesus has done over the last six years.
We are very grateful to God for all those who have loved, welcomed and supported us during our time here and we will really miss you. My last Sunday will be Easter Sunday, the 4th April, after which I will be on Sabbatical before my resignation officially takes effect on the 30th June 2021.
Our prayer and longing for you all is captured beautifully in Colossians 2:1-3, especially as there are some people who we’ve been unable to meet face to face due to the current situation.
I am contending for you…and for all who have not met me personally. I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I will continue to serve the parish until Easter Sunday, as we walk together through Lent and prepare ourselves to celebrate the wonder of Jesus’ resurrection together.
You might be wondering what this means and where we are going and the answer is that we don’t know. Please pray for us as a family as we discern what is next and where God is leading us.
There have been so many good things for which we want to give thanks to God, you might like to join us in giving thanks.
